System Requirements
This page provides an overview of the system requirements for using the DLEGATE platform. DLEGATE is designed to work without software installation, directly in a modern web browser, and supports different roles with different technical requirements.
The detailed requirements are grouped into four categories to make it easy for end users, IT teams, and administrators to assess compatibility.
Roles Using the DLEGATE Service
Inspector
An Inspector is a person with an active DLEGATE account and access to the platform. Inspectors typically work for the customer organization.
Inspectors can:
- Log in to the DLEGATE platform
- Create and send invitations via SMS, email, link, or QR code
- Host and control live video sessions
- Guide users through inspections
- Capture images, video, GPS data, and other assets during a session
- Access stored inspection assets
- Create reports and documentation (e.g. PDF reports)
Inspectors usually work from a desktop or laptop device, but may also use tablets or smartphones depending on the use case.
User (External Participant)
A User is any external participant who does not need a DLEGATE account. Users are invited by an Inspector to join a session.
Users typically:
- Join sessions via a browser using a link, access code, or QR code
- Use their own device at their location (e.g. smartphone or tablet)
- Share live video and images of objects, locations, or situations
- Follow guidance from the Inspector during the session
Users do not require an account, login credentials, or software installation. Their device is primarily used for video streaming and asset capture.
