End User Devices
DLEGATE is designed to work seamlessly on commonly used end user devices without requiring special software installations. Both Inspectors and Users can participate using standard, modern devices, ensuring quick access and a smooth inspection experience. Access is provided via modern web browsers and standard mobile operating systems, using real-time audio and video technology.
Supported Device Types
Smartphones and Tablets
Smartphones and tablets are the primary devices used for live video inspections and guided self-service on the following supported platforms:
- iOS (Apple iPhone and iPad)
- Android smartphones and tablets
Recommended capabilities:
- Rear-facing camera with autofocus
- Built-in microphone and speaker
- Gyroscope and accelerometer (if available) for improved guidance
Laptops and Desktop Computers
Laptops and desktop computers are commonly used by Inspectors to host and manage video sessions, review collected assets, and create reports. The following platforms are supported:
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux (modern distributions)
Recommended capabilities:
- Webcam (integrated or external)
- Microphone and speakers or headset
- Keyboard and mouse or trackpad
Camera and Media Requirements
To ensure high-quality inspections and reliable documentation, end user devices should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Functional camera capable of still images and live video
- Minimum camera resolution: HD (720p) recommended
- Ability to grant browser access to camera and microphone
- Sufficient local storage during the session for temporary media handling
Operating System Requirements
DLEGATE supports current and maintained operating system versions with the following minimum recommendations:
- iOS: latest version or one major version prior
- Android: latest version or one major version prior
- Windows: Windows 10 or newer
- macOS: latest version or one major version prior
Accessibility and Ease of Use
No app installation is required for Users. Access is provided via a secure link sent by SMS or email. The user experience is optimized for:
- One-click session access
- Clear on-screen guidance
- Minimal technical setup

Inspector
A person with access to the DLEGATE platform who creates invitations via SMS or email,
hosts video sessions, controls data collection during calls, and accesses collected assets
and reports.
User
A person without a DLEGATE account who is invited by an Inspector. The user’s device is
used to inspect objects at the user’s location and to collect assets such as images and
videos.
